“What Fresh Hell Is This?” is a quotation attributed to Algonquin Round Table wit Dorothy Parker [1893-1967], who supposedly said the phrase when a ringing telephone interrupted her literary thoughts. She liked the phrase so much that she began to answer her phone in that fashion.
